So we are nearly two weeks into the new year – how are those resolutions coming along?
January is the month we all start looking after ourselves, instead of pacing ourselves through Christmas and not overdoing it, the majority of us (not all of us obviously) go crazy knowing we’ve got two weeks to get as much food and drink in us as possible before starving ourselves in January.
So now it’s January what are we doing to look after ourselves? Well our local coffee shop Small Batch has introduced the Matcha Flat White, packed with antioxidants it’s apparently a great alternative to your morning coffee but it’s an alternative we’ve not yet had the courage to try. My nights are spent not enjoying the pop of a wine cork but instead reading Helen Russell’s best selling book, The Year of Living Danishly and burning endless candles to bring an element of Hygge into our house.
But what about our houses, after being full of twinkling fairy lights and smelling of gorgeous Christmas trees, the house can look a little drab after Christmas – suddenly walls look a bit grubby, carpets look a little stained and everything just feels a little bleurgh!
So why not make one more new years resolution to give your home the same spring clean as you are giving your body. This year Alternative Flooring’s collection of Liberty print carpets will most definitely make your home stand out. This is the first time that Liberty’s iconic patterns have been used in carpets so why not be one of this years trend setters, or if you’re not quite brave enough for this bold look take a look at their Quirky B Fair Isle or Honeycomb, both of which we’ve fitted recently.
The Scandi chic trend for interiors shows no sign of disappearing and to create this look we have a vast range of Scandic White brushed and oiled wood planks which can obviously be used on the floor or as wood panelling to create a different texture to your rooms.
This oportunities for you and your floor are endless for 2017 so why not give us a call… oh and Happy New Year!
